The College of Engineering, serving as an engine of growth for the Gwangyang Bay Area, is carrying our large-scale national projects worth over KRW 70 billion and is developing experts who have creative and "glocal" abilities to solve problems and to lead research activities in the Area through active academia-industry cooperation.

About the Department

Home page

The purpose of this major is to acquire design capabilities for high-tech mechanical structures such as aircraft, rockets, satellites, ships, and automobiles, by learning dynamics and 3D computer-aided design based on education for general mechanical systems.

Currently, projects for an aerospace center, rocket center, and national test flight center, are under way according to national aerospace development plans, as well as development of a domestic airplane, satellite, and space rocket, which makes this major even more promising. The graduates can also work at POSCO or Yeocheon Industrial Complex, or in the shipbuilding industry.
